How Things Go Down as a Data Engineer
A typical day might entail:
Analyzing a client's data to understand how it is used within their business
Architecting solutions that utilize modern data platforms
Helping enable the creation of customer insights by working with our Advanced Insights team
Coaching and mentoring junior data engineers
Contributing to internal UDig “fun/innovative” projects

Below are a few boxes you should be able to check if you’re interested:
5-7 years of SQL Development experience
5-7 years of Data Architecture and Design
Experience with design, development and implementation of data solutions including architecture design, development and testing
Bachelor’s Degree in in computer science, information technology, or any science or business discipline
ETL development experience with Informatica or SSIS is considered a plus
Consulting experience preferred

Is it your life’s mission to help businesses harness the value of their data? Ok, that may be a little extreme - you can keep reading, even if the answer is ‘no’. If you’re excited by the idea of impacting organizations and positioning them to achieve their business goals through fully leveraging their data, you might be a good candidate for our growing Data Enablement team. As a Data Engineer, you will have the opportunity to directly impact customers’ technology initiatives by providing mentorship to team members, leading technical and design discussions, and being a prime contributor to key assignments. You will serve as a trusted advisor and assist in setting and delivering on client expectations through data platforms, data advisory, data integration and quality, and dashboards and analytics engagements. Our Data team has worked on a variety of projects ranging from warehouse acceleration for a financing startup, to data identification and enrichment for a Fortune 500 distributor. In addition to delivering on client expectations throughout engagements, you will have a direct impact on the growth of UDig through various internal initiatives as appropriate.
